Prudential Pro puts cutting edge technology at work to her clients' advantage
Christine Lampert of Prudential California Realty places a strong emphasis on using state-of-the-art technology and putting it to work to her clients' advantage.
A consummate professional, Christine came to the real estate field from the equally fast paced world of information technology, where she worked on both the business and the technical side of the industry. Her broad experience in corporate technology sales, marketing and consulting had enabled her to build a wide array of skills which set her apart in her real estate profession.
"I have always been at the forefront of technology" says Lampert, who holds a BS degree in Computer Science. "Years ago, when Interactive Voice Response was the novelty of the day, I was at the center of it. Next, when the Internet was only in its infancy, I entered the field of web-based applications. A few years later, while the focus was shifting to mobile devices, I jumped at the opportunity to join a major handheld computer corporation". Today she is applying the same forward-looking mindset to her real estate profession.
Lampert's background gives her a particular advantage in today's real estate because she understands the value of cutting-edge technology and creatively applies it to the many facets of the business. A Palm PDA enthusiast, she uses her wireless handheld for a large variety of things such as accessing her email while out of the office, managing her schedule and her contacts, keeping track of transaction items, accessing listings information, calculating mortgage payment scenarios for buyers, and even as a GPS-enabled navigation system while taking clients out to view property. "It makes me self-reliant, keeps me organized up to minute detail and allows me to promptly respond to my clients' needs". She also makes full use of Internet capabilities for her high-impact listing marketing campaigns.
"I recently worked with a client who, in the middle of the transaction, had to leave the country on a business trip. The fact that he was miles away was no issue. I scanned inspection reports and forms for him to sign, and sent them over via email. Everything was as smooth as if he were in town. One other time we were at the negotiation table and we had to get agreement from the other party on an issue. I pulled out my laptop, generated a counteroffer and faxed it over directly from my laptop to them for approval. In a matter of minutes we had an accepted offer! There is no communication issue I cannot overcome by creatively using technology. It bridges sellers and buyers together and makes things happen".
"Today's consumers are increasingly technology savvy, particularly in the coastal areas, where we deal with a highly educated population" says Jim Vermilya, manager of the Prudential Laguna Beach offices. "They are incredibly demanding, they expect prompt response and an unprecedented level of service. We need to be flexible and receptive to the ways our clients prefer to access information and communicate, whether through the Internet or through more traditional means".
Whether her clients are technologically inclined or not, Christine Lampert puts technology seamlessly at work for them, in full sight or behind the scene. She also enjoys contributing to the spread of awareness around technology, such as with her article on real estate PDA tools posted on the Palm website at www.palmsource.com/interests/realestate/.
Christine Lampert is a Realtor with Prudential California Realty in Laguna Beach and she specializes in coastal properties in South Orange County.
